If you want to join a bunch of .AVI files with different audio bitrates then NanDub is usually better than VDub, but if the audio bitrates are very different then you need to go through the pain of converting them all to a different file format like WMV or MKV.

Windows MovieMaker will convert them to WMV and join them but it takes a long time.....
