Notes: "On October 9th, 1982, a group of ten Windham Hill musicians gathered for two shows at the Berklee Performance Center, Boston, massachussets. It was during those two shows that these recordings were made. The success of the Berklee Performance Center shows made it inevitable that other Windham Hill Evenings would follow, including Carnegie Hall, Davies Symphone Hall in San Francisco, the Wax Museum in Washington D.C., and Symphony Hall in Boston to date."

"An Evening with Windham Hill Live captures a 1982 concert at the Berklee Performance Center by several of the artists who made the label into a contemporary instrumental institution, including William Ackerman and Michael Hedges. All the musicians contribute solo tracks, including George Winston whose unaccompanied piano number closes the album. ~ Rodney Batdorf, All Music Guide"
