now i feel stupid. thanks for explaining it. i get so used to part 1 and 2 split rars, that i thought number 2 was part one and two split files and not 2 separate files. so of course i unrared pt1 and thought pt2 came with it and it didn't. i know the difference, but just goofed. i had already deleted the rar's, but luckily i got them back from the recycle bin. thanks again.
