Total playing time - 72:23 min.

Without a doubt the best sounding recording available from the 1977-1978 Love Gun/Alive II tour (the only really great one). This soundboard has aged quite well compared to some other 70s KISS soundboards. This is an EAC clone from the very rare and best version available called "A Rock And Roll Night" (Chikara CDP746437-3). The longest and best sounding version. Although there are some annoying aspect to report. Some crowd noise has been edited out between some tracks which means that some songs start almost instantly after each other. You hear the transition between the tracks although it's not like clicks. Nothing like that. It's just not done very smoothly. This was probably done to fit this concert one cd CD when 74 minute discs were still used. But as long this is the best version available it's not such a big deal. Most versions in the KISS trading community comes from this version although very few collectors have the original silver CD. The performance is quite nice although sloppy at times. Peter Criss was already on a downhill slide and only two years later his playing would be unlistenable. Beth was not performed and Rock And Roll All Nite is dedicated to Elvis Presley who passed away earlier that day. Enjoy!

Tracks:

LIVE WIRE
PROBLEM CHILD
SIN CITY
GONE SHOOTIN
BAD BOY BOOGIE
ROCK N ROLL DAMNATION
THE JACK
DOG EAT DOG
ROCKER
LET THERE BE ROCK

Here's another good sounding recording (not perfect, but quite good) from AC/DCs Powerage World Tour.
The boys simply rock the shit out of themselves and the audience is more and
more into it with every song (listen to Bon shouting "I think I marry you all"
in the middle of "The Jack").
This concert is available on many different bootlegs, but this version offers the best sound quality so far and it
was the first including the whole concert.

Aretha Franklin - Aretha In Paris (1968)

http://prometeuz.multiply.com/music/item/408

Recorded live at the Olympia Theatre, Paris, France on May 7, 1968. Originally released on Atlantic (8207). Includes liner notes by David Nathan. When Aretha Franklin overcame her fear of flying long enough to swing
through Europe for a two-week tour, ARETHA IN PARIS was the brilliant by-product. This exquisite slice of Lady Soul's spectacular presence in a live setting came at a time when she was making her mark as the Queen Of Soul. Backed by a full orchestra and a trio of vocalists that included sister Carolyn, Franklin played a set consisting of material that was barely a year old. On Willie Nelson's "Night Life," the legendary singer can be heard preaching her sorrow to the crowd (she had temporarily separated with husband Ted White that night). Regardless of any pain she may have been going through that night, Franklin's energy never flags as she rips into energetic versions of Ray Charles' "Come Back Baby" and Otis Redding's "Respect." Most impressive are renditions of her own soul classics such as "Dr. Feelgood (Love Is A Serious Business)" and "I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You), " both which benefit from slow build-ups and spine-tingling finales.

COLEMAN HAWKINS - THE GENIUS OF COLEMAN HAWKINS
http://rcguimaraes.multiply.com/music/item/228

Genius may not be the right word, but "brilliance" certainly fits. At the age of 51 in 1957 Hawkins had already been on records for 35 years and had been one of the leading tenors for nearly that long. This CD matches him with the Oscar Peterson Trio (plus drummer Alvin Stoller) for a fine runthrough on standards. Hawk plays quite well, although the excitement level does not reach the heights of his sessions with trumpeter Roy Eldridge.

OSCAR PETERSON - THE GOOD LIFE

http://rcguimaraes.multiply.com/music/item/207

Taken from the same live sessions that resulted in The Trio, this CD reissue of a Pablo album features three remarkable virtuosos: pianist Oscar Peterson, guitarist Joe Pass and bassist Neils-Henning Orsted Pedersen. Although not quite reaching the heights of the other set, this CD features some typically extraordinary solos and interplay from these musicians. Highlights include Peterson's "Wheatland," the blues "For Count" (which is referred to in the liner notes as "Miles") and "The Good Life."
