Robbie Williams Live: A Close Encounter. TV Rip

pw = purgatory

Saturday 9th September

Robbie Williams live and direct from Roundhay Park, Leeds.

Let him entertain you!

In the first UK live concert broadcast, Sky will broadcast Robbie Williams' Live at Leeds concert on 9 September 2006 live in the HD format.

Robbie Williams' show, which is part of his Close Encounters tour, is directed by Hamish Hamilton and produced by Lee Lodge for Done and Dusted, a music production team who have also worked with Madonna and Britney Spears.

Robbie Williams said, "It's great to be working with Sky. I've seen High Definition television and it looks great. It will capture the atmosphere of the concert in ways that a traditional broadcast couldn't".

Robbie Williams mesmerised a crowd of 90,000 in a spectacular concert in Yorkshire last night.
In the first of two sell- out events, the pop idol arrived on stage at Roundhay Park, Leeds, to give a powerful performance of his single Radio before launching into Rock DJ to the delight of the crowd.
As darkness fell and only after the sea of people had shouted themselves hoarse chanting his name, Williams appeared amid fireworks shooting 30ft into the air
It was perfect weather and an ideal setting as fans revelled in the biggest concert the city has seen in years.
Dressed in an orange silk scarf, black jacket and jeans, Williams, the natural showman, played a set packed with hits such as Angels and Millennium.

Enjoy
