This is going to be my last entry for a while as I will be intermittent on the net until, well who knows.

I haven’t been writting here for a while, being involved with a major backup/upgrade and sorting of files that has long been overdue. Funny enough, I have talked to a few people over the last while, and so I will produce a small APEC commentary upon request.

CHAPEC
CHaser’s:

Now “Chaser’s War on Everything” is an Australian comedy group (government funded) that emulates Rick Mercer’s this hour has 22 minutes...and they were good, sorta. I was impressed until I found out that a lot of the stunts were planned. They even did a show on it. Took a lot of the fun out of it. They went off air for a bit.

Now they want to come back with a vengance at APEC. So much so that they tap into the purest comedy on the planet, and try to disguise themselves as Canadians. After all who else could get so close to the action?

Or maybe they are emulating their famous guests...who knows?

At any rate, one disguised Canadian limousine cohort later and the group breezes through the 250 million dollar security including a fence (something getting popular these days, fences...reminds me a bit of the Wall. I wonder if Pink Floyd is still around, they could do “The Fence”). They are waved on by the checkpoints, and it is not until one of the comedians disguised at Bin Comedian that the trouble starts, gets out, not too far from the main event. The comedian goes on wondering why he wasn’t invited to the conference. Well they are apprehended quickly and charges have been laid. Get tuned and stay tuned.

I don’t know, seems to me it would have been funnier to see a bunch of “security” men appear out of the limo, with a “captured” Bin Comedian. I mean if you had captured the guy, you would be up for a pretty hefty award, so why not present him with a bit of class?

Heck, even better yet, wrap a pack around him that says “this is NOT a bomb” and a big red bull’s eye drawn on his back. That would get the adrenalin going. Hope the comedian remembers to wear a bullet proof vest. When the true authorities show up, you simply say “we have a gift for someone here, it is the fruit of his efforts over the last x number of years.”

That would have been funny too, but perhaps a bit too subtle for some. And it might be just too sad to see that after all this time Bin Comedian is still releasing videos while the keystone cops have been running into everyone else. Makes me wonder if someone is planning something for a third term. It has been done before.

That does a bit of historical deja vu with Australia. The Aboriginals use to have the whole place. Then the Boat Explorers came over, took the best lands and now the Aboriginals have reserves. Now, the fence builders have landed.

This might help you get used to them.
